Karin Dorsey
Dance Instructor
Born and raised in Lima, Karin has been dancing since age 3. She has an elementary education degree with a focus on fine arts from BGSU, taking many dance and music courses while there. She has since been teaching dance for 23 years, earning top honors for her work at regional and national competitions. Karin is heavily involved in choreographing for local theatre, such as Elida High School, Octopus Productions, Encore Theatre, Shawnee High School, Lima Symphony and more. She also performs with Octopus Productions, the annual Civic Center Gala, Encore Theatre, Modo Media and Downtown Lima events. During the day Karin is a technology integration teacher at Unity Elementary School, k-4th grades. She also keeps busy with her 3 kids, Alanna, Arianna and Anderson, as well as her husband. She is very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with the students and staff here and cannot say enough good about the welcome she has received!
